Max was born on the 25th April 1993 and lives in Newbury, Berkshire in the United Kingdom.
Max started riding aged 3 and was quickly picked out by Husqvarna on a 50cc then Kawasaki from there onwards.
Max lists among his all time favourite riders as RC and of course his own father Mervyn Anstie. Read more about Mervyn in "Family Footsteps"
Success came early to Max and in 2002 he became the 50cc British Auto Champion and finished 10th in the World Mini Bike Race held in Las Vegas
2004 saw Max climb even further by becoming International Supercross 65cc Champion, and by doing it by winning every round! He also won the opening round of the UK Ken Wyn Stanley Championship. He also finished runner up in the International Dutch championships.
2005 also saw Max win every round in the UK international Supercross 85cc. He also became the Autobedrijf Yerseke International Supercross 85cc Champion 2005 in Goes, Holland.
In 2006 Max won the English and Dutch International Supercross again and also taking the well known Bercy Supercross in France, becoming Prince of Bercy. It was also Max's insight to the European Championship and having some great rides also managed to finish 3rd overall in the International Dutch O.N.K. Championship.
Currently in 2007 Max has taken the Dutch Championship Title, took the silver home in the World Championship, and some crashes/bad luck at the final two rd's took Max from leading the European Championship to 3rd. which was still an outstanding result!
Max has now moved to america with factory KTM to race the amature nationals for 3 years, then race pro for 2 years.
