The December Month of Max

Hi guys, After getting back from the mini Os it was rest time. The next big race is in March next year, so we were just doing our homework for the up and coming races. I had an unfortunate crash on the KTM test track which ended up with me out of action for the next month, with a broken shoulder blade. So it gave me time to get everything set-up with moving in to our house in the us and getting my school work sorted. My school have been really supportive and allowed me to sit on the other side of the pond emailing them the work and to go back in May and sit my MOC’S.

After about 2 weeks with a personal arm rest on, I through it in the bin and began training again. We were getting up a 4am to make the early morning spin class at LA fitness then doing some swimming before heading over to KTM in Temecula to go and see fellow English men, Kurt Nicol (not as the Americans call it , Nicole) the manager and Leighton Rice the engine development guy from Wales.  He used to be my dads mechanic and whenever we are driving to our track in England, dad always tells me the story of when “Leighton was driving on the motorway with my dads big trailer and he got a major tank slapper on and planted himself straight into the hedge”. But when you talk to Leighton there is a different story, “you were driving to slow Leighton, you’ve got to go 50mph” said my dad. So when he got in the tank slapper he remembered my dads words and said to him self “I’ve got to go 50mph” because who knows what would happen if he went below 50 when he saw my dad again??? All the guys at KTM have been really helpful especially my personal baby sitter “Devin” when I am left down there to do my school work, she’s really cool. As I said all the guys are really great at KTM and I cant ask for anything more. From the suspension guys to Coop the truck driver everything is amazing.
