Hi guys, The New Bike’s Great!!!!! We had been training a lot with Tommy Searle before Sheffield at our SX track. It was nice to train with him and see how he got on with the tack.

It’s always nice to come home after being all over Europe and racing in England. The guys from Dirt Works had done a great job this year with the track. Also it was my first race on the new machine (KTM) and it felt great.

Practice and the heat went well putting me on pole for the final. We had about 9 hours from my heat to the final so we went over to the multi complex and watched a movie!! (Always the best part about coming to Sheffield) haha.

I got a good gate (no surprise, because I was on a rocket) and blasted a few laps, settling for a comfortable lead.

It was the 5th time in a row that I have won this race and it was nice to do on a new bike and now get ready for Bercy next weekend.

After having some fun at Sheffield we were back home training, but this time with Mike Brown. I also had Christmas with my mum and grandparents because we will be in America for Christmas. My lil brother Taylor has been progressing really well. He is now riding a pw50 and getting some airtime!!

Then we were on our way back out to Bercy and it only feels like yesterday that I was there last year. Also some of you might know Jordan Booker??? He come to France with us to be my pit b!#$h

Since my victory last year I have been looking forward to coming back to the amazing Paris and defending my title as prince of Bercy. The guys had made a great job of the track; it was really technical but great fun. It was me VS the Frenchies including European champion Jason Clermont!!! And French SX champion Jordi Tixer!!!

Friday

Timed training went well apart from when on my fast lap about 10m before the finish I landed on another rider. I ended up 2nd to Clermont.

I got a good gate in the final and took the early lead. I gradually edged away putting in some smooth fast laps taking the victory. It was a good start to the weekend.

Saturday

I set some really fast times in timed training taking pole by 1.054 sec.

I got another great start and headed to a second holeshot. I was making good progress until I hit a hay bale and done some freestyle!!! I managed to only lose one position to Jordi Tixer and quickly got by him next lap in the whoops. I managed to not make any more mistakes to settle for yet another victory.

Sunday

Again I set some good times and took pole in timed training.

Yet again I took the holeshot on the factory KTM but this time Jason Clermont actually made it around the first turn and tried to tag on. But yet again I put in some good laps and edged away.

All three wins, all three nights and 2x Prince of Bercy!!!

Lets go to America!!!

We flew out the next day to land in Los Angeles airport the following day. We then went straight into testing with the team and then flew out to florida for the mini Os!!!! Busy busy.

After a good weekend at Bercy we flew out to California to get ready for my first National on the KTM in Florida. We had two days at home (in California) then got on a plain again but this time to Gainesville Florida. The race is like many of the nationals over here, taking place over 6 days but the one difference here is that the first three are Supercross and the last Motocross. The tracks you could say are some of the best in the world and with over 3500 rider entries it was going to be good.

Supercross

The bike has been running great and with an amazing team around me everything was going well. I won my stock class heats going into the finals in pole. In the mod class I qualified in 2nd to my team mate Jason Anderson and in the Supermini I also run second. They were only to qualify you to the main events and get your gate pick.

Stock:

I got off to a good start and was in second right behind my team mate Jason Anderson. Just before the whoop section I slid out on a corner and lost a few positions. I re passed a few guys but run out off time to get to the front and ended up 3rd.

Modified:

I got off to another great start and took the holeshot. I went a little wide on the first turn and Jason managed to slip underneath me. We had a great battle the whole race and went across the finish with only half a bikes length in between, with me taking 2nd.

Supermini:

This time the start wasn’t so good. I went into the second corner in 4th and came out in near on last… I hit some one and caused a massive pile up!!! That race was basically over. With only 4 laps I didn’t really have a chance to catch back up.

Motocross

Rain!!!?!?!?! It rained from 6am to 12am non stop and flooded the whole track. Our race was meant to go out at about 11.30 but because no one could get around the track (you know the Americans, one spot of rain and they all go home) , our race started at 2.30.

My heats went ok. I run a second in both Modified and Supermini with good battles and a close finish. In my Stock class I went down pretty big of the start but still managed to qualify for the main which was good.

Stock:

I got of to a good start and was battling for the lead when I picked up a front puncture!?!? But that’s the way it goes, I used my time on the track to look for lines and get ready for the next motos.

Supermini:

It was the first time I messed up the gate for the whole week so I knew it wasn’t going to happen again in the next moto. I was quiet a ways back so I just set up my passes and had some fun.

Mod:

As I said I knew I wasn’t going to make a mistake again on the start so I got out to the early lead. With a few mishaps I dropped back to 4th but had a good ride. I just wasn’t my day but I learnt a lot.

Wasn’t bad for my first race and I am looking forward to going home, working hard and getting ready for Whitney in March.

we've completed our first race out here in the USA straight from Bercy, running the Mini Olympics in Florida. the KTM team have been looking after us really well and the bikes Fantastic. there has been 70 races a day for the last 6 days straight!?!?! running in the top three in most races and with coming from Bercy France i am looking forward to going back to my house in California and getting ready for 2008.
